I went into this field of mental performance because when I played volleyball, I struggled mentally. My confidence would be low during games, and I was hard on myself during practices using negative self-talk, impacting my overall confidence. I did not have anyone to talk with to receive help to balance my confidence. I decided to work with athletes to support them when they struggle with performance and mental aspects. Mental skills training creates awareness in athletes that can be used throughout their careers. That is why I am here to improve players' mental performance so they can strive to be better athletes overall.
